Overview

I founded AdvancEd, a nonprofit, and served as Founder & President from 2023 to 2026. I led a team of 6 to teach Scratch, Python, Java, and web development to 50+ middle schoolers from underserved communities and conflict zones.

Mission

AdvancEd is a registered nonprofit run by high school students. Its mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators by giving middle school students a strong foundation in STEM and business, through classes taught by high school mentors that build creativity, critical thinking and leadership.

International reach

During summer 2024, three team members traveled to Kashmir with fundraised materials and ran a 5-day literacy camp of crafts, coding and fun. We left behind a library, a science lab and 15 new laptops. AdvancEd has taught students from 13 countries and partnered with 5 organizations.
